Ohmigosh. If you haven't seen this, you're welcome. It will make your day.

If you have, enjoy it again!

Oh, well if that's all!

So, on the first day of school in August, I played a game with my students. I told them 30 things about myself and they each told me 3. Then they said all the things they remembered about me and vice versa. Whoever remembered the most things won. (Obviously they won, since their were 26 kids on their team and only 1 on mine).

Anyway, one of the things I told them was that I want to have lots of kids of my own. Remember, that's the one and only time I said that, and it was in August.

Last week, one of my grade one girls came up to me and said, "Miss Smith, if you want to have babies, all you have to do is find someone to marry you!"

Has she been thinking about my situation for the last 7 months?

Seriously, this kid is the cutest.

Seriously.

The last time I babysat him, he was 8 months old. He's now 1 month away from being a year old and he's grown so much in the last three months! He's taller and even cuter and quite independent. We played and then we watched Madagascar (he's in love with that movie) and he ALMOST fell asleep in my arms but something woke him up and there was NO way he was letting himself fall asleep again!

John (his dad) taught him how to fake cough, so that's his newest thing. John figures it'll come in handy when Colton gets older and needs to call in sick. Oh, and I taught him to say "yum yum." I taped him while I was feeding him spaghetti because I remembered how funny he was last time when I was feeding him. Seriously, he looks like he's cheering every time he takes a bite and I caught him saying yum yum and doing his fake cough thing.

Anyway, enjoy the pictures and the video!

Peek-a-boo!

The only thing better than spaghetti in my mouth is spaghetti in my hair!

Trying unsuccessfully to get a picture of us together. He's being all camera shy.

Such a man.

Seriously.

And the video:

I may be biased, but I think he's the cutest!

I got to babysit my 8 month old cousin a couple of weeks ago. He was so funny when I was feeding him that I had to take a video of it!

The miracle of life...

Okay, so a few weeks ago, a bird built a nest in one of our hanging baskets. INSIDE THE GREENHOUSE!!! It's been quite an exciting time for us, checking on the nest every day, seeing one egg, then two, finally four. The mom AND the dad were in and out of the greenhouse multiple times a day, and grew to be quite tame. (it's not like they came and sat on my shoulder or anything, but we could lift the basket down and mommy would be sitting on the nest and stay in there while we were looking!)

And then...they hatched. For the first few days they were these tiny little pink things with buggy eyes...quite ugly, to be honest. And then they filled up the nest and grew their feathers and here they are...soooo cute!

Because the nest was inside the basket, we continued watering the basket but couldn't trim it back, as we do with our other baskets.

This picture shows how much more ginormous this basket is than our regular, trimmed, lovely sized baskets.

And a gratuitous picture of Angel's Trumpet...just because it is so beautiful.

p.s. The babies have since left the nest, learned how to fly, and made new lives for themselves.

Missing my digital camera...

We really had grown quite attached to one another. I know you're out there somewhere, camera! Come back to me!

Anyway, we had a whole family celebration this weekend for my Gramma's 80th birthday. These pictures are from my dad's camera.

The flowers... Gramma loved them!

Pinning on the corsage.

Gramma with her letter from the Prime Minister. She also received letters from the Premier, senators, and other important people. Not the queen, though... apparently you have to turn 100 to get a letter from her!

The cake. Lemon Saskatoon cheesecake from Calories...yumm.

Baby cousin Paige watching the sparklers... how precious!

We were at an Asian restaurant. Someone's gotta be the walrous with the chopsicks! Cousin Matt (Paige's big brother). He's 11.

This was my first time meeting Paige. I can't even tell you how cute she is. I mean, you can see by the picture, but oh my gosh, she's even cuter and funnier in person!

My love for Paige doesn't affect my love for baby Colton! He's getting so big! And he's smiling A LOT these days!

Gramma told Matt to count the fish. It was hilarious. Obviously it was difficult task, as the fish keep moving...but it took all of us laughing out loud before Matt realized Gramma had sent him on a wild goose chase. Or a wild fish chase, as it were!

And the picture of the night. Doesn't get much cuter than that!

He's growing up!

Remember this little guy?

That was my cousin Colton at a couple weeks old, and here he is at almost three months old! We had lunch for my Grandma's 80th birthday the other day, and Rachel brought Colton. Oh how I love him. Sooooo precious.

Like really, could he BE any cuter??

Colton with my Gramma. I can't believe she is a Great-Grandma!!

Oh...My...Gosh. I just...he's so...ack! He's so cute!

Momma and baby.

Colton got tired of all the girl talk so he took a nap.

Oh how I love babies.

Working 9 to 5...

Actually, I've been working 10 to 5:30 but that doesn't really fit in with the song. As Tuesday is the first day of May, we will begin our regular summer hours...9-9, so I'll be working a lot more evenings. Most, actually. Plus Tuesday and Thursday mornings and Fridays all day at the flower shop. Busy.

And now, a gratuitous picture of kittens.

In other news...my mom is adorable. She tries to use sayings and cliches but tends to get them mixed up. She once told someone that I was a "chop off the old shoulder..." Usually her mix ups are a combination of a couple of different sayings. The latest, I think, is an absolute original:

"No use reinventing the frog!"

How precious...

Check out the new little man in my life!!!

This is my cousin Rachel with her new baby...my new cousin Colton David.

Then some more pictures that I want to post because I am just so proud of him and how cute he is!!!

This is my mom with Colton. She's in love!
