So, in the classroom this week, my students were making their own cornucopias for Thanksgiving. (Out of paper, not basket weaving. That would be very cool, but maybe a bit advanced for grade 1 and 2 students). Anyway, they were having trouble saying the word and I heard a few different pronunciations.
My personal favourite, though, was Haley's. When she finished hers, she excitedly exclaimed, "Miss Smith! I'm done my cornucoppity!"
