Missing my digital camera...

We really had grown quite attached to one another. I know you're out there somewhere, camera! Come back to me!

Anyway, we had a whole family celebration this weekend for my Gramma's 80th birthday. These pictures are from my dad's camera.

The flowers... Gramma loved them!

Pinning on the corsage.

Gramma with her letter from the Prime Minister. She also received letters from the Premier, senators, and other important people. Not the queen, though... apparently you have to turn 100 to get a letter from her!

The cake. Lemon Saskatoon cheesecake from Calories...yumm.

Baby cousin Paige watching the sparklers... how precious!

We were at an Asian restaurant. Someone's gotta be the walrous with the chopsicks! Cousin Matt (Paige's big brother). He's 11.

This was my first time meeting Paige. I can't even tell you how cute she is. I mean, you can see by the picture, but oh my gosh, she's even cuter and funnier in person!

My love for Paige doesn't affect my love for baby Colton! He's getting so big! And he's smiling A LOT these days!

Gramma told Matt to count the fish. It was hilarious. Obviously it was difficult task, as the fish keep moving...but it took all of us laughing out loud before Matt realized Gramma had sent him on a wild goose chase. Or a wild fish chase, as it were!

And the picture of the night. Doesn't get much cuter than that!

What a great start to the day...

Someone broke into my car last night. They jacked the window somehow and made a HUGE mess. And no, they didn't steal ALL of my CD's, somehow they just took my favourites. And my digital camera.

Not happy.

He's growing up!

Remember this little guy?

That was my cousin Colton at a couple weeks old, and here he is at almost three months old! We had lunch for my Grandma's 80th birthday the other day, and Rachel brought Colton. Oh how I love him. Sooooo precious.

Like really, could he BE any cuter??

Colton with my Gramma. I can't believe she is a Great-Grandma!!

Oh...My...Gosh. I just...he's so...ack! He's so cute!

Momma and baby.

Colton got tired of all the girl talk so he took a nap.

Oh how I love babies.

This is why I love Saskatchewan...

It doesn't get much better than that.

I went to Regina last weekend to help at the Quiz Meet. This is me before I left. Look how excited I am to have a weekend off! It's because I know it will be the only real time off I get until August.

I was a little late leaving (the flowershop was craaaaazy busy and I couldn't leave when planned) so I had to go a little fast! For any Americans reading this, the spedometer is in kilometers, not miles!

It was a wonderful weekend...stayed up a little late Saturday night, catching up with Beth at BP's and then LynnieC at her house! Two of my best girls, both of which I hadn't talked to in FOREVER!!

So ya, saw lots of people I hadn't seen in a few months and got to spend some time with Kerralynn's super cute baby Caleb.

Oh ya, and one of our kids got mugged! He went for a walk early Saturday morning--on campus--and a van pulled up and some guys with a hockey stick and a knife jumped out. They hit him with the hockey stick a couple of times before the kid (a little 13 year old) punched the guy with the knife and ran off!!! He ran into a building and called the police who promptly drove up and caught the van. They took the kid into the station and he identified them by photo. AND the van was stolen.

Quite the ordeal, but it sure could have turned out a lot worse.

I also took care of ordering the pizza for all the kids again this year. I took pizza orders all day on Saturday in between quizzing and ended up with a grand total of 76 pizza orders! That's $600 worth of pizza! (plus a VERY generous tip because they give us a really good deal and are very helpful and organized) The guy from Domino's was super helpful and stayed for like 20 minutes to help us organize the pizzas by type! And then he forgot one of the pizzas so he had to run back to get it and when he came back, he brought two extra! So I gave it to the worship band who was very appreciative!!

All in all, a wonderful weekend. Now I have to go get ready for work at the greenhouse.

But first, some pictures of Walter. He's so cute.

For Pete's sake...

Well, I have apparently set a precedent for myself for regular blogging and tonight it was drawn to my attention by my friend Peter that it's been awhile.

So I thought I would blog about something that Peter may enjoy...himself!

Typical Peter pose #1

Peter and touque.

Typical Peter pose #2.

Peter is a young, promising engineer who enjoys the great outdoors and spending time with great people. Peter's "got the groove" and loves to "boogey down," showing off his moves whenever and wherever. Peter may be seen with or without facial hair, including but not limited to the infamous handlebar moustache.

Peter is admired and revered for his intelligence; he has sometimes even been referred to as a "fountain of knowledge." Peter has been blessed with the gift of hospitality and enjoys nothing more than hosting excellent, low-key, open-to-all get togethers at his house, especially during the summer when great bonfires are to be had!

He loves rock climbing and cycling...and ambrosia.

Work, work, work...

Yesterday I worked from 9am to 9:30pm. Long day. So tired. And then I opened today at 8:30am.

When I was coming home from work last night, I realized that on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays I will be opening at the flower shop (9am) and closing at the greenhouse (9:30pm). I hadn't really planned on having three 12 hour days a week, but that's just sort of how it turned out...

In other news...what's with this freaking construction???? I literally can't get out of the city to the greenhouse without being held up by construction. Why can't they work at night like in all other normal, smart cities? I don't understand. Come on, Saskatoon...

Oh, and choir was amazing tonight. Our final concert is Sunday, June 10th at 10am if anyone is interested! It's gonna be amazing...

p.s. Wow, I was looking back at old posts and comments, and I JUST found this. Remember the article that guy wrote slamming teachers? Here's the link to that post if you want to read the article and my reply. Anyway, that was months ago, but he must have found my blog recently and added some comments of his own. He responds to all the comments you guys left. Caution: he uses some harsh language

p.p.s. Happy Birthday Daddy!
